Important residency note: Florida law requires one party to have resided in Florida for six months before filing for divorce. §61.021, Fla. Stat. Additionally, no final judgment of dissolution may be entered until at least 20 days have elapsed from the date of filing the original petition. §61.19, Fla. Stat. The Clerk’s Office cannot advise when a judge may enter an order in a particular case.
